What is Pupil Premium funding?

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.

In real terms this means an extra £1320 for the school for every child who is entitled to Pupil Premium funding.

What is Sports Premium funding? 

The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding provided by the government to primary schools in England to improve the quality of PE, physical activity and sport.

This means schools receive dedicated funding each year to help make sustainable improvements to their PE and sport provision. The funding can be used to increase opportunities for children to be physically active, improve staff confidence and expertise in teaching PE, broaden the range of sports available and encourage all pupils to develop healthy, active lifestyles.
